Barclay Clibborn—Foresight Group

Barclay Clibborn recently joined Foresight Group as Principal of the newly established AIB Foresight SME Impact Fund. The Fund aims to provide €2m to €5m equity investments into SME’s supporting Ireland’s transition to a low carbon economy.
Barclay has spent 12 years in operating businesses across the Telecoms, Environmental Services and Energy sectors; most recently as Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at Bord Gáis Energy. He spent a further 8 years as a corporate financier working on over 50 M&A/fundraising transactions, primarily with NCB Corporate Finance.
Barclay graduated from UCC with a BSc in Computer Science before completing an MBA in Trinity College Dublin in 2005.

Béla Hanratty—Keeling Capital; Ross Madden—Seek Ventures

Béla Hanratty has 13 years experience across macro financial markets, private markets, impact investing and climate. Béla is the Managing Director at Keeling Capital, leading on the company’s strategic vision and investment work. Béla most recently had a consultancy for climate finance, Bluewave Innovation Capital, and launched a private market structuring business with Delio Group, a UK-based private markets fintech. Previously, Béla was a co-founder and Head of Investments at Align17, an impact investing marketplace launched in partnership with UBS Wealth Management. Béla was also deeply involved in creating a market-leading impact assessment with PWC, drawing on the framework of the Impact Management Project. Prior to that, Béla spent eight years in UBS Investment Bank in sales and trading, focussing on listed interest rate derivatives, covering macro hedge fund clients. Béla holds a degree in English literature from TCD, and has completed all 3 levels of the CFA qualification.
Ross Madden brings more than a decade of experience across finance, start-ups, and climate investing. He currently leads Seek Holdings’ climate tech and sustainable private investment strategy. Ross was previously CFO of two startups; an early-stage fintech company (AlphaSwap) and a Series-A built environment company (Converge), where he advised the founders and management on fundraising alongside designing and executing their financial strategy. Preceding that, Ross was a part of the founding team and COO of a London-based multi-family office where he took the company from a business plan to a fully regulated operating business. Ross started his career working with Morgan Stanley in London, where he spent 8 years working across both the global capital markets and institutional equities departments. Ross holds a degree in Economics & Finance (B.Sc) from UCD, and a masters in Financial Mathematics (M.Sc) from the University of Edinburgh.

Emma Jane Joyce—NTMA

Emma Jane leads on Sustainability and Climate Action for the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), where she is responsible for the development and implementation of the Agency’s Climate Action Strategy. Prior to this Emma Jane was Investment Director with the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF), where she designed the Fund’s unique Sustainability and Responsible Investment Strategy across the whole Fund, Global and Irish Portfolios, multiple investment structures and asset types and across the life cycle of investments. Emma Jane also represents the NTMA on a number of sustainability forums, both domestic and international.
Emma Jane has held a variety of roles within the NTMA, including strategy development, and responsibility for several International Equity Portfolios as part of the National Pension Reserve Fund’s (NPRF) Investment Management Programme.
Emma Jane joined the NTMA from Mercer Investment Consulting. She is a graduate of both Trinity College Dublin (BA Mod Genetics), and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business (MSc in Management), and has recently completed the Executive Diploma in Corporate Governance.
